– Venturing into New Markets
Nextas is a technology company based in China that creates high-tech machines which assemble and test the smallest, most advanced cameras used in many consumer devices. When Nextas decided to open a North American branch, they felt it was appropriate to rebrand themselves to better fit their new market. The company partnered with MonkeyTag to design a new identity package that would resonate with its new audience.
MonkeyTag’s objectives for the Nextas rebrand was to build a brand identity that encapsulated the look and feel of an advanced technology company, while also giving tribute to the organizations traditional Asian roots.
MonkeyTag started the identity creation with a mood board exercise to establish a clear direction of the look-and-feel. Next, research was done to explore different avenues in Chinese culture to be conscious of traditional symbolism and color associations. With a variety of logo concepts created, the client chose an emblem that clearly identified the N from the Nextas name using a modern, tech-savvy design. With a logo finalized, the team developed a custom iconography pattern that would extend across multiple print and online platforms. A full identity package was developed, including business card, letterhead, envelope, and thank you card.
MonkeyTag created a brand identity for Nextas that used modern design techniques and typography styles to encapsulate the organization’s tech driven services, which would resonate with businesses here in North America. The designs were built out across a variety of intricate brand materials that when combined, helped craft Nextas’ story and provided the necessary materials to venture in a new market.
