For La Calle, MonkeyTag aimed to create a brand identity that resonated with the cultural and traditional feel of Mexico. To achieve this, MonkeyTag designed identity options that embodied a mix of colorful Mexican folklore, symbolic imagery, and distinct patterns in conjunction with current design techniques and typography styles. With these tools, the La Calle brand could begin its storytelling and start connecting the consumer with the true taco culture.
La Calle wanted to combine traditional dining with the truly authentic Mexican street taco food experience. It was important to capture and integrate all of the essence and color vibrance you would find in the local surroundings of the street taco stand into the aesthetics of the brand, environment, and restaurant experience.
